The Bible tells us that in whatever we find our hands to do, we must do with all of our might. While my internship was not the most eventful, it was one of the most enlightening and transformative experiences I have ever had in my time as an undergraduate student. I had the pleasure of working with the staff of Herald of Truth from September 2021 to February 2022. Over that period of time, I worked as both a social media content creator and in public relations in calling different churches. To complete my tasks, I recall using skills I had acquired and sharpened in Bible 101 as well as Media Issues. As it relates to Bible, I was of course interning for a Church of Christ ministry. While completing my work to the best of my ability for the glory of the Who made me, I also was tested. I had to show patience, temper my anger at times due to mishaps, and continue to act with a servant’s heart. I called back to lessons from Bible 101 to strengthen my resolve. Moreover, it was in, in its own way, a constant reminder of what I was doing and why I was there: not simply for experience or money, but to advance a kingdom. The Media issues class was my most valuable asset in the main part of my assignment. It aided me not only in my endeavor to not only create valuable content but also understand the environment that I was sending that content into. I learned that the world and the nature behind content creation, the internet, and the technological world were so much deeper than I had seen coming in. Moreover, it was with this class that I learned one of the most valuable lessons that I will take into the future: If something is going to be done, it should be done with the mindset of accomplishing it right. In conclusion, my classes served twofold in my internship. One taught me the essence of what I would be doing while the other reminded me of why.
